The Integrating Applications of Internet of Things and Data Analysis
Brief biography
Rung-Ching Chen graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan in 1982. He received the B.S. degree from department of Electric Engineering in 1987, and the M. S. degree from the Institute of Computer Engineering in 1990, both from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan. In 1998, he received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Applied Mathematics in computer science sessions of National Chung Tsing University. He has been a Fellow of IET since July, 2011. He was a visiting Professor at University of Central Florida, U.S.A. in 2012. He also the President of Taiwanese Association for Consumer Electronics since December, 2012 to December, 2014. He was a director of computer science center and department head in CKU and CYUT, Chaoyang University of Technology, Taichung, Taiwan respectively. He was a Dean of Infomatica College in CYUT during 2007 and 2015. He has published more than 200 journal and conference papers and have gotten many awards from different computer competition and paper publications. He is now the chief executive of Institution Research and a professor at the Department of Information Management in CYUT. His research interests include Internet of Things, Big Data Analysis, Institution Research, Domain Ontology, Pattern Recognition and Knowledge Engineering.
